Amanda McCleery, DVMOwner
Dr. McCleery grew up in the Midwest, riding her Quarter horse Katie and competing in 4-H horse shows and junior rodeos. While earning her bachelor’s degree in biology from Kansas State University, she ran varsity track and field and cross country, achieving NCAA Division I All American status twice in her career. After graduating from Kansas State, Dr. McCleery received a master’s degree in genetics and her DVM from Texas A&M University, graduating with top honors.
Dr. McCleery’s husband is a professor of wildlife ecology at the University of Florida. They live in Archer along with their son Jack, their dog Blu, and their donkeys, Mr. White and Buck. They enjoy traveling whenever they can, seeing Europe and spending time at Professor McCleery's research sites in southern Africa. |
Kaycie Miller, DVMAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. Miller grew up in northwest Florida, riding anything she could get her hands on. Starting her equestrian career in the Arabian horse industry, Dr. Miller eventually made her way through the disciplines until she settled on western performance horses, carving a niche out for herself in the barrel horse industry. While in undergraduate at the University of Florida, Dr. Miller trained horses professionally and judged collegiately, earning All-American status for horse judging. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, Dr. Miller secured the privilege of Double Gator status and returned for her DVM degree. While there, she earned multiple awards and honors for equine and large-animal oriented students. Dr. Miller lives with her dog Roe and cat Demon in Gainesville, FL. She enjoys running, paddle boarding, and traveling whenever she can.
